Galactic Gathering

An unfinished project made for Down2Jam, around the theme Gathering.

It was going to be a resource gathering exploration/tower defense type game, but unfortunately, I scoped too big, and wasn't able to get it together in time.

I'm really disappointed in myself, and hope I can do better next time.

I try to avoid throwing in the towel and giving up on jams, since I tend to take jams very seriously, and put a lot of commitment into every one of my jam games. I've only given up on a handful of jams, and I really hate to add to the list. But when you've got 3 hours 'till the deadline, and the game being playable is still a pipe dream... Sometimes you've gotta know when to cut your losses.

Something like 60 hours of work in this project, lots of love and care. It was intended to be a submission for the ODA (one dev army) category, which means no outside help, no premade assets. So everything you see here was done by hand by me (for better or for worse).

Hope you can at least have a little fun screwing with what I was able to get together.
